Infused Water

Updated: May 12, 2020

Here's a weekly reminder to drink your water! As promised, here are a few infused water recipes I’ve enjoyed to improve my water intake.

Citrus blend:1 slice lemon + ½ slice lime + ¼ slice grapefruit + 1 slice orange + 2 cups water

Spa blend:3 slices cucumber + 5 medium mint leaves + 2 cups water

*pro tip: muddle mint slightly prior to adding water for extra flavor

Berry Blend:3 halved strawberries + 2 raspberries + 2 blackberries + 5 blueberries + 2 cups water

As always, you are in control here. This can be use as just a starting point. Adjust the ratios as you like. For example, I love mint flavor and my “spa blend” might be too minty for your taste buds. If you’re not a fan of mint put 2 medium mint leaves or void it all together. You decide. Also, people tend to go over board with flavors in infused water because they believe the more fruit the better the taste. When too much fruit is added it starts to become overwhelming. In my experience, less is more here. You’re still drinking water, not juice. Therefore, the taste should be subtle. Try them out and let me know what you think. Looking forward to it!

Keep pedaling,

Cara
